Policies & Procedures

ClearPath Homeschool Testing is committed to providing reliable, supportive, and fully online evaluations and testing for Florida homeschool and private school families. These policies ensure a smooth experience and protect the integrity of all assessments.

General Policies

  • All services are conducted online via Zoom.
  • Parents are responsible for ensuring a quiet, distraction-free testing environment.
  • Students should arrive on time with their device charged and functioning.
  • Parents must remain nearby but off-camera unless instructed otherwise.

Technology & Equipment Requirements

To ensure a valid and secure testing experience, families must meet the following technology requirements:

1. Approved Devices
Students must use a laptop or desktop computer (Windows, Mac, or Chromebook). These devices provide the stability and visibility required for live proctoring.

2. Unsupported Devices
iPads, tablets, and mobile phones are not supported. These devices cannot maintain the required camera view during testing and do not meet proctoring standards.

3. Camera Requirement
A functioning camera is required and must remain on for the entire session. Students must remain visible on screen for monitoring and verification, as required by test publishers and Step Up guidelines.

4. Microphone Requirement
A working microphone must be enabled so the test administrator can communicate with the student as needed.

5. Internet & Browser
A stable internet connection is required. The Chrome browser is strongly recommended for best performance.

6. One Device Only
Students may use one device only during testing. No additional devices (phones, tablets, secondary computers) may be nearby, used, or opened during the session.

7. Lighting & Environment
The student must sit in a well-lit, distraction-free area where their face is clearly visible.

⚠️ Important: If a family arrives to a session without a compatible device or a functioning camera/microphone, the session may need to be rescheduled.

Scheduling Policies

  • Appointments are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • A confirmation email is sent upon booking with test-day instructions.
  • DORA, ADAM, dyslexia screenings, and portfolio evaluations offer flexible scheduling options.
  • Stanford 10 must be booked at least 3 weeks in advance.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours’ notice.
  • No-shows or late cancellations may require a rescheduling fee.
  • If technical issues prevent testing, the session will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

Step Up For Students Procedures

  • ClearPath Homeschool Testing accepts FES-UA, FES-EO, FTC, and PEP scholarships for testing services.
  • Testing services eligible: Portfolio evaluations, DORA, ADAM, Stanford 10, and extended time are covered under scholarship funds.
  • Dyslexia screening: Submitted under Part-Time Tutoring but is eligible for all Step Up scholarships (FES-UA, FES-EO, FTC, PEP).
  • Families must reserve and approve the service in their EMA account prior to scheduling.
  • Parents are responsible for submitting documentation or invoices in the Step Up portal on time.

Student Behavior & Test Integrity

  • Students must complete the test independently without assistance.
  • Parents may not coach, prompt, or provide help unless an approved accommodation is listed in the student’s IEP/EP/504 (when permitted by the test publisher).
  • If academic integrity is compromised, testing may be paused, rescheduled, or invalidated.

Extended Testing Time

  • Most students complete the test within the standard session.
  • Extended time is available if needed and must be reserved in advance:
    • +30 minutes — $40 fee
    • +60 minutes — $75 fee
  • Extended time is scholarship-eligible and covered under FES-UA, FES-EO, FTC, and PEP scholarships.
  • Additional time is only billed when used.

  • DORA and ADAM diagnostic reports are provided within 24–48 hours.

  • If technical issues prevent completion, the session will be rescheduled.
