All tests are FL DOE approved, norm-referenced, and meet Step Up requirements. Both options meet requirements. Live teacher-proctored testing provides added support and oversight.

Option 1: Parent-Administered Testing
Flexible, at-home testing. You administer to your child following provided instructions. We provide test access and professional scoring. Results in 1–3 business days.
Best for families who want flexibility and no scheduled appointment.
Renaissance Star – Parent-Administered
Reading and math in one adaptive online assessment, both subjects at a single price. You administer at home on any device, no appointment, no scheduling.
- Star Reading and Star Math: about 45 minutes total
- Built-in calculator appears only where allowed: outside calculators are not permitted
- Score report emailed the moment your child finishes
- National percentile, stanine & skill cluster analysis
- Reading level you can use to pick books at the right level

DORA Reading & ADAM Math – Parent-Administered
You administer both DORA Reading and ADAM Math to your child at home. We provide secure access to both tests and professional scoring for both.

Option 2: Live Teacher-Proctored Testing
Testing administered live via Zoom by a FL-certified teacher with a Master’s degree in Reading. Real-time support, immediate tech support, and oversight throughout.
Ideal for families who want guided support and the highest level of testing confidence.
Renaissance Star – Live Teacher-Proctored
Both subjects in one session, administered by a Florida-certified teacher via Zoom. Because a certified teacher administers it, this option also satisfies the annual evaluation requirement for registered home education families.
- Star Reading and Star Math in one sitting
- Built-in calculator appears only where allowed: outside calculators are not permitted
- FL-certified teacher monitors start to finish
- Proctoring isn't required for PEP: choose it if you want a certified teacher present
- Score report emailed on completion

Option 3: Portfolio Evaluation
100% online, no meeting required. No appointment, no Zoom, no phone call. Upload your materials and a Florida-certified teacher personally reviews every work sample, then issues your signed evaluation letter within 1–3 business days.
For registered homeschool families (FS 1002.41) and FES-UA homeschool families.
Annual Portfolio Evaluation
100% online submission. No meeting, no phone call, no video call. Upload materials and get your FL-certified evaluation letter in 1–3 business days. Fully compliant with Florida statute 1002.41.

Star Growth Plan – Fall, Winter & Spring
Star Reading and Star Math three times a year, so you can see whether what you're doing is working while there's still time to adjust.
- One of the three meets your PEP annual testing requirement
- The other two are for your own planning, nothing is filed

Dyslexia Screener – Live Teacher-Proctored
A short, focused look at the early reading skills that predict dyslexia risk: letter-sound knowledge, phonemic awareness, and word recognition among them. Administered live by a Florida-certified teacher.
- Skill-by-skill breakdown of early reading strengths and gaps
- Written summary with clear next steps, plus recommended free resources
- Useful whether or not you go on to seek a formal evaluation
